Linda Quagliaroli
Graduate Gemologist, GIA

After a successful career in the corporate world, Linda decided to pursue her passion for jewelry and make her hobby into her “encore career”. She attended the Gemological Institute of America completing the industry’s highest level and most respected program, the Graduate Gemologist degree. She has worked as an independent gemologist appraiser for local jewelry stores, antique dealers and Skinner Auction House, Antique and Estate Jewelry division, Boston, Mass. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in University Studies from the University of Maine and has attended Portland School of Art taking classes in metalsmithing. She has completed Advanced Personal Property Appraisal Course – AGS and is a member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers. She is a GIA Alumni Member – N.E. Chapter, and a Member of the American Society of Jewelry Historians. She has attended Conferences in Tucson, Arizona for the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers and Accredited Gemologist Associations. Her appraisal clients include brides and bankers, lawyers and auctioneers, insurance companies, financial advisors, jewelry stores and private individuals.

“A good appraiser is not expensive, they’re priceless.” says Linda. “There are so many reasons today to have a graduate gemologist help you with all your jewelry needs. Few people really know much about what they are buying or the current value of what they have. There can be some very costly mistakes.”

Linda does consultations, diamond grading, new purchase verifications, insurance and estate appraisals, liquidations, stone identifications, equitable distributions and PowerPoint presentations to area groups, clubs and associations. Consultations are by appointment only. Linda can be reached at 207-852-4502 or at </a
